Metropolitan College – Sri Lanka signed an MOU with RDI – UK, to conduct Edexcel Programs, and to provide students with an opportunity to complete foreign degrees in Sri Lanka or in the UK.
   
Metropolitan College is proud to announce the first batch of selected candidates for the Al-Haj Meerasahib Trust Program successfully completed in the Maldives. All selected candidates are welcome with family to participate in the official Scholarship Awarding Ceremony to be held on 10th March 2010 at the Faashanaa Maalam / Dharubaaruge from 8.30 pm onwards.

Work has begun on the brand new Metropolitan College, Campus premises at Hill Street, Dehiwela. To be completed in 2010, the new campus comes with all modern facilities and amenities.

Metropolitan College has recently been accredited by Girne American University - North Cyprus, Turkey for BSc Business Administration, BSc Psychology and Master of Business Administration (MBA). This was achieved on the most recent visit by Chairman Mr. Mohammed Siraz who was very warmly received by Girne. This valuable partnership not only opens up a wonderful opportunity for the students to broaden their horizons, but also facilitates course transfers from Metropolitan College, enabling students to complete their course at Girne. A major milestone and a tremendous achievement for the college since Girne has been validating the credentials of the college over a period of years.

Metropolitan College was recently awarded a partnership with City of London College, England. Students successfully completing approved programmes of study at Metropolitan will be accredited by City of London College, and will be awarded advanced standing on progression to the programmes of study in London. Course transfers are also facilitated.

Metropolitan College further signed up with London School of Science and Technology in an academic partnership recently, committed to the highest standards of professionalism in conducting LSST certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma Programme at its campus. Whilst counseling, promoting and recruiting students for further education in the U.K.

Metropolitan College has recently been appointed as the exclusive educational institution to conduct counseling psychology classes for Maldivian students in Srilanka. A memorandum of understanding to this effect was recently signed in the Maldives between the Managing director of Metropolitan College of srilanka MR.Mohamed Siraz and honorable Ahamed Shareef Deputy minister of Gender & Family Maldives. The Students will be sponsored by the Maldivian government and classes are due to begin in January 2008
